Julie,
According to my records, my great-grandfather was Francis Brereton who father was Rev Henry Brereton(same dates). According to the book Brereton - A Family History, four of the children of Rev. Henry Brereton came to the US around 1869, one of which was my great grandfather. Another of the four was John W. Brereton who ended up in Virginia. Both of them were jewelers. My great-grandfather went to Illinois, then to Nebraska and Kansas and died in Oklahoma. He had 4 children.
