I wonder if you could help me with locating information about my "Brereton" Line. The following note was written in the corner of a pedigree chart which was developed years ago. "Records in Maryland: Wm Brereton brought his family from Northumberland Co. VA.,to Somerset Co., MD in the 1600's. From one land grant to another from 1659-1675. He changed his name from BRERETON to BREWINGTON." Below that is "Geo. Bruington b.1756." The pedigree chart begins with George Bruington b. 1778 in MD. d. May 31, 1844 m. Mary Ann Brown of PA in Nelson Co., KY. He is buried in Freedom Presbyterian Cemetery in Garfield, KY. Thank you so much.
