I saw the original of Robert Paca's grant for "Dan" today. I was surprised to see that Robert Paca transported John Hall, not the other way around as has been posted all over the internet!
It was granted in 1660, and it was for 450 acres to Robert Peca of the county of Anne Arundell, planter. Lying between branches of Herring Creek and the branch of Lyons Creek ... bound by ... lands Stephen Benson ... Nathan Smith ... Due for transportation of John Hall, Samuel Fisher, John Chappell, Henry Wilson, [SIL?] Sarah Parker, Robert Pake [Peak], John Huggins, Abraham Watkin and Mary Wilkinson. Liber HH:205.
Then, the survey and patent were in July 1663. They were for 490 acres. Liber AA:136. Where did the extra 40 acres come from? Maybe an assignment from someone?
