Recently I started researching the Brenner family of Pine Grove, Schuylkill Co. PA. and came across your message. Johannes Brenner is my 6x great grandfather. You probably have this info by now:Johannes Brenner was born in Schweinschied, Germany on Oct. 3, 1738 and christened in Lollbach, another small village near Schweinschied; He died on Nov 28, 1815, age 77 yrs. 1 mo. 28 days in Pine Grove. His parents were (from LDS website) Johan Friedrich Brenner and Maria Elisabeth Buffi. The Buffi family seems to have roots in Schweinschied but I haven't found any records of Johannes' siblings, his father's family or when and with whom he came to America.
Johannes married Catharina (Stein?) born in Europe, Aug. 1735; died Feb 8, 1822 Age 86 yrs. 6 mos. in Pine Grove. I have not idea if she's connected to the Steins of Pine Grove. I'm descended from Johannes's son Johan Jacob Brenner born about 1780, married to Catharine Rieth.
I'd be happy to hear if you've found any further info about this line. Best regards, Evie
