Kearn Brennan came from Ireland about 1815, first to Montreal, then to St. Catherines. Eventually moved to Carbondale, Pennsylvania. He married Bridget Walker in Roscommon. They had 4 sons, 2 daughters. George married a Thornton of Providence, PA. Martin, married Mary Toolin of Carbondale. John, a bachelor. Ann, married a McGuire of Buffalo, NY. Liza, married a Loftus of Wilkes-Barre, PA. William, married Bridget Barrett of Jessup, PA.
William and Bridget had twelve children. Of their children, George and Thomas went west. George was killed by falling into a shaft in Leadville, CO. Thomas married a Mormong girl, Alice Breen in Salt Lake City.
The other children of William and Bridget are: Katherine, Elizabeth (md. John Lane). Anna, md. William McAvoy. Margaret and Bridget, spinsters. Kearn, md. a Munley. Michael md. Bridget Moyles. William Jr. md. Mary Mahady.
