I am looking for any information about the family of a Bridget Brennan(Walsh)(B. 2/2/1832-D.3/14/1894)and Patrick (Possibly Pattrick) Henry Walsh Sr. (b. 3/17/1818-d. 12/3/1900) from County Carlow, Ireland. His name may also have been spelled Welsh, Welch or Brannach in Ireland.Bridget Brennan is believed to have been from Kilmis, Ireland and was the daughter of Patrick Brennan and Anne Burns. Patrick Walsh's mother was a woman named Catherine (or Kate) Shea. It is also possible her name was Sheax, or Shay, or even O'shea. Patrick was one of three brothers, the oldest of whom stayed in the family's home in Ireland during the famine while Patrick took the rest of the family to America. We believe they came to New York in 1848 and settled near the border of NY and Vermont in the White Creek/Hoosick Falls area. He married Bridget in Nov. 1851 in Schagticoke, NY and she may have been a domestic employed by his family up til that time. After his marriage Patrick took his family to Rantoul, IL where he had numerous children (Margaret Walsh-Deany, Johanna Walsh-McCabe, Matthew Walsh, Ann Walsh-Murray, Thomas J Walsh, Michael Walsh, Mary Walsh-Cody, Patrick Henry Jr, and Catherine Walsh-Sullivan). We are seeking the identity of Patrick Sr.'s brothers, parents, in-laws, anything. Their descendants have a mess of family in MI, IL, OH, VT, TX, FLA and Virginia anxious to hear about/from them.
