My g.g.g.mother, Johanna Brennan, was the daughter of Edward Brennan and Ellen Egan and was born c1811 in or near Castlecomer Co. Kilkenny Ireland. Her sister, Catherine Brennan bc1819, married William Purcell in Co. Kilkenny and came to Australia c1840. Catherine & William sponsored Johanna and her husband, John Burke, and the Burke children Patrick, Thomas, Edward, Michael & Johanna. On Catherine's shipping record it says that she was born Kilkenny, Co. Kilkenny. On Johanna's shipping record her place of birth is given as Muckalee, Co. Kilkenny. Family info. has her place of birth as Castlecomer. All 3 places are fairly close I understand. Anyone related to these Brennans? or have any relevant information? Thanks in advance.
