RICHARD BRENNAN

Richard Brennan, a former resident of Chatsworth, who left here nine years ago, recently of Moorhead, Minn., died Wednesday, December 2 and was buried here Sunday, December 6.
His fatal illness overtook him suddenly. He walked out from the house after supper Wednesday evening and his son found him leaning against a fence, having suffered a paralytic stroke. He was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to a second stroke just before midnight.
Funeral services were held at Moorhead Saturday at 9 o'clock after which the body, escorted by a brother of the deceased, John Brennan, was brought to Chatsworth where interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery Sunday afternoon, Rev. Fr. Hearn officiating in the burial rites. the pall bearers were J.C. Corbett, Thomas Lahey, T.P. Kerrins, James Baldwin, William Baldwin and Thomas Bergan.
Richard Brennan was born near Griswold, Ill., October 22, 1875, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brennan. He was reared to young manhood there. He married Miss Stacia Baldwin, July 17, 1900. To this union six children were born. He is survived by his widow, two sons and three daughters, the oldest being of age and the youngest on 6 months old. One son preceded him in death as has also his mother.
He is survived by his father and the following brothers and sisters; John, Thomas, William and Walter, of Pontiac, Philip, of Michigan; Mrs. Clara Roth and Mrs. Mary Parker, of Pontiac, and Mrs. Minnie Mott, of Minnesota.
Two of Mrs. Brennan's sisters, Mrs. Thomas Shaughnessy and Mrs. W. E. Brennan, accompanied John Brennan to Moorehead and remained there with Mrs. Brennan, who was very ill and unable to attend the funeral of her husband.
