I am searching for Brennan ancestors also.
My great-great grandfather, John Brennan, had a brother named Peter. In a letter from my grandmother's cousin, Peter is listed as being born March 14, 1818, in Scotland. I also have a photograph of a Peter Brennan taken in a New York photography studio (Perkinson). Peter and John had nine other brothers and sisters.

I know that a Brennan relative named Ann was living in New York in the 1880s.
There was also a cousin who lived in New York in the 1950s named Henrietta VanDerVo(o)rt. I believe that she never married.

Is there any connection? I really hope so. I only recently learned that we might have other Brennan relatives living in the U.S. John had only one son, Robert. Robert had only one son that lived to maturity, and that son never married. There are no relatives in this area with the surname Brennan. Robert had a number of daughters who lived to maturity, and all of them married except one. There are a number of Brennan descendants in the region, just none named Brennan. I look forward to your reply.

Barbara N.
