Mark: so good to know there's another Lemgare Brennan ticking out there. I stopped in Lemgare in Feb '07 and my mother's house was just sitting there abandoned on the roadside where one could turn down a lane, past what used to be the local National School, and shortly find oneself in Co. Armagh.

Further up the Lemgare road an elderly gentleman was leading two cows to pasture and we got to talking. He turned out to be a Brennan and wanted to know who all was in my family.

The Mass for Elaine who died in November is on this coming May 8th at St. Mary's Church in Rochester. My brother Jim and my sister Maureen and I are intending to try to be there. We'll probably be coming from North Bay Ontario where Mary Brennan is married to Dr. Joe Madden M.D. Mary's dad, Paddy Brennan [RIP, buried in Drogheda] was a Lemgare boy and a brother to my mother.

Did you say your Dad was Bob Brennan? He who was married to Joan? Bravo! He was my godfather at my baptism in Our Lady of Victory Church in Floral Park where I used to visit your grandfather and his youngest sister Alice Brennan Hughes who was my godmother. /frfr
