What a treat to find you. Your Brennan history fills blank spaces in mine; hopefully, I can do a bit of the same for you. My mother, Marie Brennan Hopkins (b.1921 d.1995), told me that her paternal gparents were Margaret and Patrick Brennan. They came from County Clare, Ireland, went to Canada and then to NY via the St. Lawrence. I have considerable data regarding Patrick and Margaret and their children. Interestingly, my mother and aunts knew the couple had had 11 children--but only 10 children were ever acknowledged. The 11th child was a shadow without a name or gender. Thomas perhaps? The other 10, seven Brennan aunts and two Brennan uncles (My maternal grandfather, John Patrick Brennan,b.abt1870 d.1952, was the third and youngest son) were a significant part of my mother's childhood. My mother also mentioned two of her great-aunts (Patrick Brennan's sisters) Charlotte and Sr. Hilary, a Roman Catholic nun. The birth order and names of Margaret and Patrick's 10 children are: I have more information regarding Patrick and Margaret, if you wish. My cousin has a picture of them and the 10 children which I have seen. What do you think? Cousins? I look forward to hearing from you, Mary. Many thanks,
