It does seem strange but it gets better. My great grandfather was born in July 1866. He arrived in the states with his 2 brothers and 2 sisters approx. 2 months after your great great grandfather. My guess is that they started their journey together from Lemgare. You have a cousin named Matthew Brennan who traded notes with me some years back regarding our respective families. Last I knew he was living in New York City. He has extensive information on your side of the family. While we couldn't find a direct link to our families in Ireland we assumed that there was some relation albeit distant. We are however related through the McShane's. Your great great grandmother Catherine was a sister to my great grandmother Susan McShane. I use to live across the street from the house your great great grandfather lived in Rochester.
