Thomas Brennan and Jane Gibbs - Ireland

Looking for information to connect Belfast Brennans to Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny. Best lead is a Thomas Brennan who was a cavalry soldier who went north to Belfast c. 1850s.Was married to Jane Gibbs in 1854. Think she died in 1900 and buried in Celbridge Co. Kildare.( source Irish News )

Their son ( I think ) was Joseph Brennan. Born in 1856 in Co Antrim. Had a brother. Joseph was a pork cutter who spent some time working in the Port of New Orleans in New York ( ? )as a meat inspector before returning home c.1900

Anyone with military records for Co. Antrim/Belfast or for Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny around 1850s ?

I have lots of Brennan records for Belfast.
