Hi Denis,
I am looking for a needle in a haystack. My gr gr grandfather was John Brennan born in Ireland. I don't know where. He married a Rosana Gilmore also born in Ireland. Again I don't know where. I do not know if they married in Ireland or in this country. I found them on the 1860 Federal Census in Haverstraw, NY. They had three children all born in NY. John, Charles (my gr grandfather born about 1855) and Margaret. In 1870 they were in Summit, NJ where they remained until they died. My gr grandfather died there in 1917. Does any of this fit with any of your information.

Rosemarie
