My name is Dave Faneuf, my maternal grandmother was Tessie Brennan-Gorman. My sister recently gave birth to her second child who is now diagnosed with Werdnig Hoffman Disease (SMA Type 2) or Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2. This condition is apparently triggered when both parents are carrying a defective gene and it is passed on. I have researched the Faneuf-Phaneuf-Farnsworth family and have not found anyone with a history or knowledge of this condition. I am looking into our Brennan background to see if there is any information available.
