I hope you haven't been waiting 9 months for a response. I just started my search and recently found this site.

This is a shot in the dark. My father's name was Malcolm, but my mother says it was orig. Malachi and that he was named after some ancestor. My grandfather's name was Thomas, b. 2/14/1875,in Ohio, d. 1/20/1947. My ggrandfather was Martin, b. unknown,in Ireland, d. unknown.
I've also been told that our family has an Illinois connection but I haven't discovered it yet.

Any help?
