Hello Peter
I find your posting very interesting. A lot of things in your message are very close to the BRENNAN family that I have been researching. I have a Patrick (wife Mary ??) who was born in Ire. in 1820`s. One child,William Brennan, was born in Kilkenny sometime between 1843 and 1855. He came to Massachusetts in the 1860`s and married a Catherine O`Hare
and they settled in Dedham which is not far from Newton.
Mary Ellen Brennan, who was one of their children, was living in West Newton in the eary 1900`s. There is also some sort of a TREACY connection that I have not been able to figure out.
Don
