I have no personal knowledge of the ancestors that you are looking for. I searched the index to Griffith's Valuation (1848-1864) for Michael O'Brien's, and found about 80 recorded in various parishes at that time, in County Clare. This isn't very helpful, and you have probably been down that route yourself anyway :o)
