Bill, the only James E. that I have so far is one b. 11 Oct 1865, d. Sep 1867. age 2.
As far as I can tell the family stayed in NYC. There is a family tale that a Tim Brennan left NY and went to California. He wrote home often, but after the "great quake"
no one heard from him again. He was presumed dead in the quake-nothing verified.
