We have John Brennan b 6/20/1820 in Ireland, we believe in or near Freshford, Kilkenny.
His parents were Patrick Brennan and Bridget Hill.
John married Margaret Campion, in Ireland. The Campions were also from Kilkenny.
John and Margaret emigrated about 1846 to North America. We first find them in Massachusetts in 1850 for the birth of Julia thier first child. Can't find them on any ship lists to U.S. May have come through Canada.
Their youngest child, John Francis Brennan was born in Illinois in 1869.

John Francis Brennan married Anastasia Carroll, whose grandfather John
Carroll was from Freshford, and emigrated in 1850 to US though port of New Orleans.
Have lots of descendant in US but am short of info in Ireland.
I suspect these people may all have been neighbors in Kilkenny, and moved near each other in US.

Does this ring any bells with anybody?
