Hi Diane,
There seem to have been at least 4 children to Colin BREMNER and Elizabeth OLIVER;
Ann, chr. 18 JUL 1788, Edinburgh St. Cuthbert's; John born 19 MAR 1790, Edinburgh (Parish, probably St. Cuthbert's); Sarah, chr. 04 SEP 1791 and Robina b 05 MAY 1793, Edinburgh. (This from the Scottish Old Parish Records CD.)
Sarah is listed under "BRIMER", a variant that often occurs in the Edinburgh area.
While I haven't examined the BREBNER/BREMNER families in Edinburgh at any great length, it's probably likely that Colin BREMNER was either a child or grandchild of George BREMNER and Margaret ALEXANDER.
