I've been research Bremners in Wick also. I found a web site ran by John Brebner, another form of the name, called Brebner Genealogy Home Page found at http://brebner.com/gen data/famtrees/bremneng.htm. He has been a wealth of knowlege. His e-mail address isjohn.brebner@crc.ca. He just sent me information dating back to 1744. The names James, Alexander, Christian, and Isabel all appear about 1800. My husband is desended from James.
