Decatur County Journal-Iowa
Thursday, February 22, l9l7

A very pretty home wedding occurred Friday morning at
l0:30, February l6, l9l7, at the home of the bride's mother, MRS. EMMA TULLIS, of Decatur, Iowa, when MISS MARIE TULLIS and FOREST COLE, of Grand River, Iowa, descended the stairs unattended and took their place while MISS NAOMA STEVENS sang, "I love you truly," Rev. Forest Perkins spoke the impressive words which united this worthy couple in holy wedlock.

The bride was becomingly dressed in georgiette crepe and carried a beautiful spray of begonias. After the congratulations, the guests were invited to the home of JACK TULLIS where a bountiful two course dinner was served. The out-of-town guests were WALTER DAUGHTON and WILL BREMER of Grand River, MR. and MRS. HERB FLETCHER, of Weldon, and MISS NAOMA STEVENS, of Ogden, Iowa.

MRS. COLE was raised in Decatur and she counts her friends by her acquaintances. She possesses a beautiful voice and was always glad to use it. She will be greatly missed in her home as she was the youngest daughter of MRS. EMMA TULLIS, but we are glad to send such a brilliant talented young woman into another town. MR. COLE is the efficient postmaster in Grand River, and will take his bride there. We wish them a great deal of happiness, prosperity and friendship.
