I have seen where Brelands lived at Boggy Gut, SC, but it seems that there are two Boggy Guts, one in what is now Hampton County (used to be Beaufort Co.) and one in Barnwell County further up the Savanna River. It seems that Brelands lived in both areas. Can anyone confirm that there are two Boggy Guts and give me some information on which Brelands lived where? I believe my Breland line lived in the Boggy Gut near a place called Black Swamp, but I don't know for sure which one is which. My line is Eloyse Breland to Lewis Cass Breland to Hiram Jackson Breland to Absolom Breland to Abraham Breland. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
