Not sure how I missed this posting but you have found what is now the Breland families. All of these names were/are found in the various records made in the 1700s. The final spelling of the name BRELAND was in full use by 1800s, with a few usages of the other spellings from time to time. As to there being two Boggy Gut areas, it is possible as this term refers to the condition of land near water (water leading to the Savannah or other smaller rivers in the area). Most of the William Breland land is now within the SC State Park River's Bridge State Park. One of the cemertaries is still maintained within the park at the public shelder/picnic area. Steve knows that I have a lot of data posted at http://www.cwoodcock.com under the name of William Woodcock, Sr by Edward Breland. If you would like to share, please contact me via the web site.
