Tena,

I have a book that was published by my Uncles " The Breland Families of the Southern States 1755-1855" and it does mention a Franklin Breland born in 1856 married to a Sarah Knight. The book does not list that they have any children. Apparently, Franklin's brother Daniel Leroy Breland (lived from 1858-1939)& was married to a Emily Crain (who lived from 1864-1929) and both are buried in Washington Parish, LA. Emily and Daniel had 8 children.

Do you know any of the dates? Maybe I can help you further.
