There were three or four Elisha's in the Breland clan, which is extreamly large and far flung, through out the U.S., espesceally in the Southeastern states. I am the Great-Great-Great Grandson, ne of about 100 or more, of the Elish Breland that was the Grandson of Abraham Breland, whos older brother was Abslom Breland, who is according to some record that I came across, while surfing the net, was named after an associate of the Patriarch of the Breland Clan in the North and South Carolina areas, Abraham Breland the 1st, which is the First person, who can directly be tied to the name of Breland , as it spelled today, and who we can directly trace our leniage to. It seems that a man, whos name was Abslom had some association with and lived near the first Abraham Breland, and may have been good enough friends to have Abraham the first to name a son after him. Abraham 1st also had a son that was named Elisha, who would have been the Uncle to Abslom and Abraham, and about eight other sibblings; who it seems had about ten to fifteen children of their own; which they themselves had as many childern, each throughout the persuing generations. (See the Edward Breland Family Index Web Site, and Records in Beaufort South Carolina).
