Nancy, since my earlier messages I have been to Switzerland to trace Samuel and his family. Have held and read the book which identifies this family before they came to U.S. If you will send me an email address I will send you the family group sheet containing this info. Briefly, Samuel and Susanna had 8 children: Jacob, Samuel, Susanna, John (Johannes), George (J. Ulrich), Joseph, Elizabeth and Verena (died enroute). All the children were born in Switzerland, the last five in Lupfig, Aargau, Sw. The daughter, Susanna Brehm Mathys, is my gggrandmother. Her daughter, Leah Brehm Mathys Ellis is my ggrandmother. Her daughter, Elizabeth Helen Ellis Stephens, is my grandmother.
The info I have for: Johannes Ulysus Brehm (used John in the U.S.): born in Lupfig 25 Mar 1841, married Rebecca Margaret Whetro in Mansfield, OH 8 Oct 1863, died in Natchez, MS 19 Jun 1913. Alan Stephens
