The Brehm's Brewery building still is located on Brehm's lane. The brick building was recently painted white. If you look closely at the top of the building you will see the name "G. BREHM." George Brehm owned an estate where the current Erdman Shopping Center is. He died in early 1904 after coming down with a disease while watching the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904 outside his house on Loney's Lane (now Erdman Ave.). He is burried in a family plot at Mos Holy Redeemer Cemetary at Belair Road and Moravia Ave. In the basement of Sidel's Bowling Alley across the street from the cemetary, there is a blocked up tunnel where legend has it that durring the depression Brehm's Beer was bootleged through this tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who worked at the bowling alley take me down and see the blocked up tunnel.
