Henry Breen - Mary Jane Nixon - Cavan, New York, Jersey City
Married In Manhatten in 1870, my GGP Henry Breen and Mary Jane Nixon had four children - Ellen(Ella), William, Robert, and Mary Ann. In the 1890's the family moved to Jersey City. Mary Jane died in May, 1891 and Henry in October, 1902. Henry was a Baker in both Manhatten and Jersey City.
I have a pretty good history on all except William. Ellen married Robert Hunter. Robert married Lena Schuller (my GPs), Mary Ann did not marry.
Evidence suggest both were born in Cavan Ireland around 1849. Henry's parents were John Breen and Elizabeth Kithcard. Mary Jane's were John Nixon and Mary Ann Cordock.
Henry may have arrived in the USA in 1863 with relatives Patrick and Honora Breen who may have settled in Connecticut. Mary Jane may have arrived in the USA in 1851 with a brother John Nixon(1850) and a relative Martha Nixon(1823).
Interesting in connecting with other "cousins" or pursuing the links back to Cavan, Ireland.
