I ran across the grave marker of Lewis O. Breeding in Section Eight of Woodlawn Cemetery, Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio. The date of birth was October 4, 1866 and the date of death was December 25, 1937.
In addition, I found the inscription for Della Bysel Breeding, born January 10, 1868 and died April 27, 1939.
My interest in the Breedings stems from my research of the Bissells, whose surname is sometimes spelled Bysell or Bysel.
Near the grave of Lewis O. Breeding is that of Hannah Blentlinger (1820-1894). Widow Hannah's married name was Bissell when she married James Blentlinger in Greenup County, Kentucky. I do not know Hannah's maiden name, but I suspect that it might have been Sloan/Slone.
Next to the grave of Hannah Blentlinger is that of her son, John Bysel (1842-1909), who served in the Civil War in Company "H" of the Sixth Ohio Volunteer Cavalry.
Perhaps Della Bysel Breeding was a daughter of John Bysel. If you have more information regarding Lewis O. Breeding and his wife Della, please contact me. Thank you for your help!
