Most of the info that I have on the Breedens came from James Breeden, so I don't think that I would be of anymore help to you than he could. I wish that I could help you more.
By the way in looking for marriage licenses always try the surrounding counties. I kept looking for my Grandparents in Sevier County and was starting to feel like they had never gotten married. I finally found theirs in Cocke County. You could hear my shout for several feet in the library in Knox County when I finally saw the copy of the license. Since they were living very close to the county line, it made sense for them to go to the next county.
