"The Compendium Of American Genealogy" Vol. VII P. 885 has the following printed:
BREED (Bread,Braid), Allen (1601-1690/91), a Quaker, from Eng., 1630, with Gov. Winthrop, settled at Lynn, Mass.: freeman, 1681; a grantee from the Indians of Southampton, L.I., but returned to Lynn, 1645; juryman, selectman; m 1622, Elizabeth Wheeler; m 2d, 1656, Elizabeth- (d 1695), widow of William Ballard and William Knoght.
