Brecheen Family Genealogy Forum

I am trying to compile a database of the Jessee Brecheen/Susannah Bridges family and their descendants. My grgrandfather, William David Brecheen, Jessee's son, lived near to, or with, Jessee near Clarksburg, Carroll Co., Tn. until shortly after the Civil War. William David moved with his family to Marshall Co., Ms. and then later (in about 1885) to Louisiana. Other siblings, including Thomas Green Brecheen, stayed in Tn. and died there. The old Brecheen cemetery, near Clarksburg, has been abandoned for at least 50 years, and perhaps 75. The last burial there was in about 1909. Female siblings married and raised families locally there. Surnames include Neighbors, Carden, Carnal, Chambers, and Sellers. Jessee and Susannah's burial place is unknown to me, but could be in the Brecheen Cemetery in unmarked graves.
Brecheen descendants of William David are known to be spread throughout the south, midwest, and southwest, all the way to California. I hope to hear from anyone that believes that they are descendants of these Brecheens or knows more about Jessee's parents or place of birth. I will be glad to share the information that I have.
I am especially interested in personal recollections of any Brecheen ancestors. The personal anecdotes about these very interesting people fascinate me. Pictures of Brecheen ancestors are also especially valuable to me. Any that you have would be appreciated, although I don't have very many that I can share with any of you, yet.
Please post your messages on this forum or send me a personal email so that I can correspond directly with you.
