Have recently uncovered information in Territorial Papers of the United States that a Drury Breazeale, atty., from Natchez, 1802, was appointed as Judge in newly formed Madison County Al..Showing up at same time was Morgan Breazeale, born 1770, possible brother of Drury, and shown owning land in Walker County, Al, 1825 and shown in 1850 census as being married to Sarah Ann.- son George (born 1817 TN), daughter Mary (born 1822 Al). An Edward Breazeale was shown in 1830 census in Walker County, but was not there for 1850 census, possible son of Morgan, and a neighbor, Richard Breazeale, another possible son of Morgan, (born 1821 AL), shown in 1850 census as being neighbor to Morgan. Also found Daniel H. Breazeale in GA in Camden Cty Ga in 1837..may have been another son. It has been said that Joel, Drury, and Elijah Breazeale all went to Alabama at the turn of the century 1799-1800 for some reason..may have been Indian wars following Revolution and prelude to war of 1812. Hopes this info helps some of you.
