This William Brazeale is shown on the 1850 census of Claiborne Parish Louisiana and is listed as a planter. He was born in North Carolina and was 63. His wife, Mary, is abt 55 and was born in South Carolina. Children are: Accineth? 16, John 15,Drewry B 10, and Nancy 11. Ten years later the 1860 census of the same parish shows only Mary and she is shown as being 60 but it appears to be altered perhaps. D. B. was shown as being 20. And that is all in that household. Next door is W. Y. Holbert 33 and his wife Nancy (Brazeale) Holbert who is 23 and M.G. (Mary Georgia) Holbert age 2. Later W. Y. and Mary Georgia along with her sister Ida are living in Caddo Parish. Later W.Y. died and the girls were orphaned and I don't know when or where. A gentleman named Wright took the girls into his home and reared them for a time. Some time after all of this Mary Georgia Holbert married George Washington Davenport and they were my grandparents. In 1880 George W and Mary Georgia Davenport are in Dallas County Texas and Mary Georgia's sister Ida is living with them. Notify Administrator about this message?
