The 1764 Virginia index to an inventory seems way to late to be from Henry II's estate and Henry III's LW&T was proved in South Carolina in Charleston, the only probate court in SC at that time. My guess is there was a Henry IV son of Henry III. There are theories out there! Hillsborugh Township was surveyed by Patrick Calhoun in 1764 and the plat notes and locates a 200 acres tract of Henry Breazeale. Setlement in 1754 in Long Canes is too soon; no Royal grants in the area are that early. John Breazeale's survey was 1759 and the memorial dated much later. He describes the loss of the survey in Augusta following the uprising. I'm betting he was a son of Henry III and the first Breazeale to settle in the Long Canes. All this can be down loaded from the SC Archives web site. Notify Administrator about this message?
