Jamie, Page 27 of Lois Plott's booklet (dated 1963)of the Breazeale family goes into some detail about Willis Breazeale Sr and Sarah. Lois had found the same discrepencies that others have mentioned in this forum. She found information that tied up the loose ends, though. "The settlement of the estates of Elisha and Willis Breazeale of MS in 1836 prove that the four younger children of Willis Breazeale Sr were not as close kin as were the five older brothers and sisters sle they too would have shared in the distribution of the estates of the deceased (Elisha and Willis, Jr). The only explanation therefore is that Willis Breazeale, Sr was married twice and that both wives were named Sarah and that he named one of the sons of his second wife Archibald for his first wife's father. Out of all this confusion several facts emerge as indisputable: the first wife and mother of his seven older children was the grand daughter of Colonel Michael Woods, that ther first name was Sarah (Lenice bacon's affidavit will be needed to prove this, that Sally, wife of Dr Willis Breazeale (a 1795 migrant to TN) was Sarah's daughter as was Mary, wife of Henry Breazeale. What else do we know about Sarah Woods Breazeale? She was married and living in Granville County, SC by 07/01/1768, she had seven children, and that she died ca 1775. With seven children born by 1775, she must have married no later than 1766 which palces her birth year between 1744/1750. So, she was just a girl when she died, possibly as young as 25 and no older than 32." That is the information posted in the book. Read it and decide if you think it supports her conclusions.
