In the 1880 Fed. census for Searcy County AR.,Mt pleasant Twp. the head of household is Wm. H.H. Brazzeal 33 yrs old B Ill. His wife is Elizabeth 36 yrs B Tn. Her previous husbands were William A. Bryan born abt 1800 who she married in Dent County MO about 1864. He was a widower with grown children. They had 3 children and he died in 1868. She remarried that same year in Crawford County MO (adjoins Dent)to J.J. Bresee born NY about 1820. They had 1 child my grandfather Samuel W. Bryant. They either divorced or ? and in 1880 she is in Searcy County AR near Marshall, AR Mt Pleasant twp living with Wm. H.H. Brazzeal and several children. The children include the 3 born to William A. Bryan my grandfather Samuel,1 other child born in MO about 1874-75(father unknown) and 2 children born in Ar.(the first born in 1877) who I am sure are the children of Wm H.H. Brazzeal.
I am trying to find where in ILL Wm H.H. Brazzeal was born and who his parents were. The only thing that appears to fit is A William Brazzle 2 years old in the 1850 Census for Marion County ILL father David B Tn ,his father B SC mother Susan B Tn her father B SC. The family is in the same location in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census but William is in only the 1850 and 1860 census. The only fly in the ointment is that in the 1880 census for Wm H.H. Brazzeal its shows that his parents were born in NY. Since he was less than 20 when he left home I wonder if he knew where his parents were born and the info was a guess on someone's part. Interesting the spelling was Brazzle in 1850, Brazell in 1860, Brasel in 1870 and Brosel in 1880
I would appreciate any help
