Willis Layfayette Breazeale of Roane County, TN (b. 1831) is a grandson of Willis Breazeale of Abbeville, SC and son of Elijah W. Breazeale (who moved from SC to Roane County, TN).
Willis L. is my ggg-gf, and was a Confederate veteren. He fathered six children, but both my gg-gf and g-gf each fathered only one to two children which lived to carry on the Breazeale name (even as a maiden name). As a result, the only Breazeale's that I have ever known were my grandfather (died in 1973) and his descendents.
I have information and photos of ancestors back to my gg-gf (son of Willis L.). Written information describing Willis L. describe a person different in appearance than his son (my gg-gf). Does anyone possess pictures of Willis L. (he died in 1901)? Does anyone have information about him in addition to that contained in Lois Plott's 1963 anthology of Breazeale's?
