Bonjour Matthew,

I don't understand your question: "What is the deal with the acadian line of people ? " There are 5 lines of Breaults that I am aware of:
1) the acadian Breault line
2) the Breault dit Lafleur line
3) the Breault dit Pominville line
4) the Breault dit Robillard line (who are in fact Robillards)
5) and the Breault line that came to USA in the 19th century.

Second question: "Any ideas of what send the Breaux's to exile from France ?" The Breaux were not sent to exile from France, but rather to exile to the then english colonies of United States (in 1755 USA was still an english colony) along the Atlantic seaboard from Acadia (nowadays Nova Scotia in Atlantic Canada).

Au revoir,

Robert Brault
