1892 photo of Emilio Brazil, Arcata Bottom, Humboldt Co., CA

I purchased the subject studio portrait of a young man. The photo, bearing no studio name or location, is identified on the back of the mount:

"Emilio Brazil No.
rouher [rancher?]

Arcata Bottom
E B Neronho
Last Road So
Eetino [?]
16 X 20
R F D. No 1 - 703

Jackson & Engg"

I found a likely candidate listed in the 1900 Census data for Union Township, Arcata (exclusive of Arcata town), Humboldt Co., CA. This Emilio Brazil was born Sep 1871 in Portugal and immigrated 1898. He was then married for two years (no children) to Caroline (maiden name unknown), born Mar 1861 in Portugal (immigrated 1892). They were boarding in a household headed by a farmer, Louis Pacheco, born Jan 1871 in Portugal (immigrated 1892). Emilio was employed as a farm laborer and Caroline worked as a servant/housekeeper.
