Seeking any information on persons with the surname ALAKAVISH, ALKAVISH or similar. I have a Joseph ALAKAVISH, supposedly from Poland, who traveled from Liverpool, England to Sao Paolo, Brazil for work around 1890. He and his wife, Sarah, had a daughter, Miriam, who was born and died in Sao Paolo in 1891. Sarah and Joseph were back in Liverpool by 1893. This couple are my "brick wall" and any information and/or suggestions are appreciated. ALAKAVISH is presumed to be an anglicized name, but we have no idea what the name was originally.
