Dear GenForum:
In Richard Burton's class boook, Explorations of the Huighlands of Brazil (1869), mention is made (p.5) of some 100 Southerner immigrants settling in Bahia in January 1868. The website mentioned in an earlier post also briefly alludes to Confederates in Bahia.
Does any one have further details on this? Thanks for your consideration.
