Hello, Peter Sorry, I wrongly typed TAKE, but I mean MAKE copies. Thanks for calling PIASA. Some time ago, Ms. Kedron wrote: “Our archivist checked the number. It encompasses nearly 650 documents.First of all, we do not allow complete files to be reproduced.Secondly, we do not have the staff to handle such a large amount.” However, I must tell you that 650 referrs to the whole collection named Polish Legation in Rio. It is divided in three containers, as you can see in http://www.piasa.org/archives/pin013.html Container part 1 contains folders from # 1 to # 265. The folders I am interested are # 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, containing list of all polish volunteers from Brazil, who fought in WWII. I already have lists comprising 333 volunteers, but I have reasons to think my lists are far from complete, since I am aware of more than 600 volunteers. I will send you what I already have to your private address, in order for you not to copy them again. When in PIASA, you will notice that the first document (1939-1940) lists volunteers from #1 to #29. Strangely, the next list (I Transport Brazylja) starts from #40 on. It would be great if you could find where volunteers from #30 to #39 were listed. Thanks Gilberto Notify Administrator about this message?
