Hello Gilberto,

Thank you so much for answering both our postings. About the neighborhood in Santos for selecting civil register offices. My Grandfather's barber shop was Salao Germania at 22 Rua 15 Novembro, and I am presuming that they lived nearby.

About the passenger ship lists for Santos/Sao Paulo. Even though I am not a member of the LDS, for the past five years I have been a volunteer at the local Family History Center here in North Carolina, to help people find their history. We have looked at the microfilms for Brazil trying to find the ones for Passenger ship lists. We must be missing something, as there doesn't seem to be any for Santos for 1876. If you know of microfilm numbers for these years 1876 and 1868 for the port of Santos, and maybe Rio would you be kind to tell us?

Thank you again,

Laurie
