Eduardas, I looked for Luksys and Luksyte in the brazilian phone books that covers the southern states (where most of immigrants settled in) and didn't find any names. It is possible Rozyte and Emilija got married and now their descendants carry their husbands surnames. The sites are http://www.brasiltelecom.com.br/home/framefixo.jsp and http://www.telesp.com.br/online/guias/ I have also searched http://www.memorialdoimigrante.sp.gov.br/ for immigrants who entered through Sao Paulo but there is no Luksys or Luksyte listed. I am not sure what years are covered by their search engine. I also did a search in Argentina phone book (www.telefonica.com.ar) and could'n find anyone under those names. You can try Argentina immigration service. Their email is cemla@cemla.com (Centro de Estudos Migratorios Latino Americanos) My parents made friends with a Lithuan family who had come to Brazil about 1930 or 1940 and, in 1960, they went back to Vilnius. It is possible this family and yours have immigrated in the same years so I will write them and ask if they met any Luksys/Luksyte while they were living here. Meanwhile, check http://gallery.kresy-siberia.org/ and http://www.indeks.karta.org.pl/ (index of the repressed)for people in camps, refugees, etc. Best Regards, Gilberto Notify Administrator about this message?
