Cerniauskas/Cherniauskas: Lithuania

My paternal great Uncle Anthony (Antonio) immigrated from Lithuania to Argentina in the early 1920's. His brother and my grandfather, William, settled in Pennsylvania, USA. In searching the Argentina telephone whitepages on the INTERNET, I had no hits on the original Lithuania surnames of Cerniauskas/Cherniauskas (In Lithuanian there is a "carrot" over the "C" and it is pronounced "Ch".) Out of curosity I tried the Brazil telephone whitepages, I had 16 hits on those surnames and all generally from the San Paulo area. I was rather surprised. Is there a Lithuanian community in San Paulo and a history of Lithuanian immigration to Brazil? While it is remote, I suppose it is possible that my great uncle moved from Argentina and eventually settled and raised a family in Brazil. Any info about the San Paulo Cerniauskas/Cherniauskas and Lithuanians in Brazil is appreciated.
