Hello,
I researching Minke. My great grandmother was Ottilie (Minke) Nast. I have conflicting info on her place of birth. On the ship manifest it lists Gerczkovo, on the naturalization papers it shows Kunitzpol, Gostynin and on her social security application it shows Dunov, but all in Poland. She was born 14 October 1890. Her parents were Michael Minke and Ernestine (Garbe) Minke. She had a brother Reinhold who stayed in Poland and his family eventually went back to Germany. She also had a sister Berta who went to Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I have a cousin (actually one of Reinhold Minke's grandchildren) who is helping me with the research in Germany but we still need some more direction in where to look for info on Ottilie and her parents.
