Hi Rod,
Vicki Leigh Jones Lambert here. Palmetto Braziel Jones was my great-grandmother. She was gone right around the time I was born, in 1953 -- but I'm not exactly sure of this chronology. I'm out of touch with the aunts who were tracking the line, through death and circumstance.
One of Palmetto's sons, Osborne Lee Jones (and I know he was not an only child), was my grandfather. Osborne "Lee" Jones and spouse, Mamie Alberta Collins, had 10 children:
Dorothy, Jean, Lee, Vera, John Mark, William, Norma, Margaret, Thomas, & Barbara. I have approximately 18 cousins born of these 10 children. Of the males of these children, only one had a son -- John Mark.
John Mark Jones had 2 children, Mark and Vicki. Mark had only daughters (Virginia and Patricia), so "John Joseph's" branch of the Jones name ends with Mark. (If one is tracking patriliny, which is what my aunts did.)
Of the grandchildren of Osborne LeeJones and Mamie Alberta Collins, my information is incomplete. Here's what I have:
Dorothy Jones m. Randall __?__.
~No children.
Jean (Jealine) Jones m. Robert Malch
~ Children Robert Malch and Kathie Malch Spence (b. approx 1951).
Lee Jones m Pat __?__.
~A daughter, name unknown to me.
Vera Jones m. B.B. Graves
~ Children Belinda and Marleeta (Married names unknown to me)
John Mark Jones m. Patricia Ogden.
~Children Vicki Lambert and Mark Jones.
Norma Jones m. Harry Guthmuller
~ Children Debbie (married name unknown to me) and Harry.
Margaret(Margie) Jones m. Jerry Stabile
~Children Anthony, Jerry, Robert, Steven Stabile.
William Jones m. France __?__.
~No children.
Thomas Jones m. Virginia __?__.
~There are daughters, though I'm not sure if the children are by this first or by a second marriage.
Barbara(Bobby) Jones m. Thomas Lawson
~Children Dale (married name unknown) and Thomas Lawson.

Thanks a million, Rod, for laying out the Braziels thusly. I'm only beginning to search again, for my nieces. When I searched 9 years ago, I did not find your post before. It's very helpful, as "Palmetto" wasn't coming up in the sites I've combed through recently. Thank-you!
Cheers and Happy Hunting,
VJLambert
